With the quarter-finals complete, we couldn’t be prouder of our Aussie Sharks! They fought valiantly and narrowly lost to the USA in an epic 10-11 battle, decided by a heart-stopping penalty shootout. The Paris Olympics were nothing short of amazing for our Aussie water polo teams! From thrilling matches to inspiring performances, our athletes showcased the true spirit of Aussie determination and teamwork on the world stage. 🟡🟢🔥

Our Aussie Sharks fought fiercely and finished the tournament in 8th place. With fantastic early wins, notably against Hungary, and a nail-biting quarter-final that ended in a narrow loss to the US in a penalty shootout, this team, featuring 10 debutants, has shown immense potential to grow from this experience. 🦈💥

The Aussie Stingers were undefeated heading into the gold medal final against the highly regarded Spanish team. Despite a relentless attack, they fell just short, losing 9-11. Their silver medal is the best performance by the Stingers since their historic gold at the Sydney 2000 Olympics. 🥈🌟

We’ve absolutely loved watching the Stingers and Sharks over the past two weeks. They’ve represented Australia flawlessly and undoubtedly inspired a new generation of water polo players to take up the sport. 💪🇦🇺
