U16 AYC 2024

The Australian Youth Water Polo Championships have ended for another year with the conclusion of the U16 competition yesterday. Both our boys and girls teams participated in the green division, facing early challenges in the tournament.

Despite an initial setback (two losses), the boys rebounded well, regrouping and maintaining focus. They secured six consecutive victories, ultimately claiming the 5th spot on the ladder.

Our girls similarly faced some tough competition early however finished strong with four wins to finish 9th.

We can’t thank enough our supportive coaches Robyn and Spindles as well as our dependable and organised managers Jenny and Matt/Stacey. The guidance and support provided by these individuals during the AYC journey has been invaluable for our kids, and we are confident that they will carry forward the benefits of this experience.

Richmond proudly sent its largest contingent ever to AYC 2024, and anticipation is already building for AYC 2025 in Perth – just 344 days away!
