DELFINA INTERSTATE CHALLENGE

Over the long weekend Water Polo Victoria and Delfina hosted the 2022 Delfina Interstate Challenge. It was a showcase of some of the best 15&U Water Polo players from around the country right here in Melbourne. We congratulate all of the teams who competed in what was a fantastic tournament, we thoroughly enjoyed it.

Our Victorian teams performed fabulously well despite an interrupted preparation and reduced access to pools in 2021. Our Boys VIC Blue team finished with a Silver medal in a close game against QLD Maroon, while our Boys VIC White team finished in a commendable 5th place. Our VIC Girls finished 4th after loosing to QLD Navy by 1 goal in the Bronze medal match.

We would like to congratulate all of our Richmond players who were selected to play over the weekend. Their commitment, skills and teamwork were inspirational and we look forward to seeing their development moving forward.

Special congratulations to Will Watkins and Campbell-Wilson Moran who received a Silver medal as part of the VIC Blue Team and Catie Boyle who was named in the Girls Tournament Team.
