Rowie Webster
Proud Victorian, Rowie Webster is known as one of the toughest defenders in water polo and continues to add to her long list of career highlights.
Rowie first stated playing water polo at 11 years of age in Melbourne Victoria. Sine then she has gone on to claim a 2012 London Olympics bronze medal and become a dual Olympian after representing Australia at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.
In 2007, Webster achieved a FINA Junior World Championships gold medal giving her a taste of what it takes to achieve the ultimate success at an international level.
Following this great success, Webster spent one year at Arizona State University competing in college water polo before playing professionally in Greece during 2008.
She was named as a finalist for FINA’s Best Water Polo Player of the Year award in 2013 and 2014 in recognition of her talent.
Rowie is the only Victorian to ever Captain a national Australian’s women’s water polo team, something she is extremely proud of.
